Today’s Topic is about the concept of Vital Force which is 9th , 10th and 11th principle/aphorism of Homeopathy from The Organon of Medicine constructed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. I’m referring to the principles on which Homeopathy; the system of medicine is based. Well, principles 9, 10 and 11 talk about Vital Force. Vital Force is a dynamic or spiritual force responsible for maintaining normal bodily functions. Our material body without the vital force has no sensation, no function or self-preservation. It is the Vital force that regulates growth, nutrition, repair, secretion, excretion, self-recognition, self-preservation and reproduction. To give an example, a dynamo that is driven by steam or any other external force, through electro-magnetic induction, converts surrounding magnetic field energy into electrical energy. Likewise, our central nervous system is a machine driven by chemical force derived from food which through the electro-vital induction from surrounding vital field, converts vital energy to nerve current or impulses. So, human body function depends on this force necessary to carry its operation on central power station. Just like gravitational force is invisible but we observe it in practicality, eg: Earth holding the moon’s position via gravitational force, tidal waves created due to moon’s gravitational activity and so on… Homeopathic medicines have this dynamic action on living organisms. Once the homeopathic medicines come in contact with tongue papillae; tongue being rich in nerve supply, transmits the medicinal properties to the central nervous system that is, brain. The medicinal properties of the homeopathic remedies are transmitted to the central nervous system. The central nervous system arouses the needful actions like optimal hormonal secretion, blood supply regulation and thereby restores a person to healthy condition.
